Selling unvested shares and options: Guidelines

EquityZen only provides liquidity for vested shares.

EquityZen only provides liquidity for vested shares. However, liquidity can be provided in conjunction with the exercise of vested options.

We cannot transact in RSUs. All equity holdings must be converted to common or preferred shares and fully vested and owned by you in order to transact on the EquityZen platform.

Restricted Stock (also known as RSU) represents a class of stock that has some restrictions on the transfer or sale of the instrument. Generally, most non-public stock has some restrictions, though they may vary depending on the issuer and holder. See our post on RSUs for a deeper dive.
