FAQs: Issuer Portal

Q: What is the Issuer Portal (v1)?

The Issuer Portal v1 is a secure, invite-only, read-only dashboard designed for authorized company representatives. It replaces manual spreadsheet distribution by providing self-serve visibility into secondary-market transactions and platform-market metrics for your company's securities.

Q: What is the onboarding experience for a user?

The onboarding experience differs depending on whether you already have an EquityZen account:

  • New Users: If your email is not yet on file with EquityZen, accepting the invitation link will direct you to a secure screen to set up and confirm your new account password. Upon agreeing to our Terms of Use and clicking Submit, you will be redirected to log into your company's dashboard.

  • Existing Users: If you already have an established account on equityzen.com with that email address you can log in immediately using your existing credentials.

Q: Does the invite expire?

Yes. All invitations are valid for 7 days from issuance. If the invitation is clicked after 7 days, you will be asked to contact your EquityZen representative at support@equityzen.com to request a new invitation.

Q: I work on behalf of multiple companies. Can I use the same email address to access the Issuer Portal for multiple companies?

No. If you are an external general counsel or representative working on behalf of two or more companies, a distinct email address must be used to view transactions for each represented company.

Q: What high-level market activity is surfaced on the dashboard?

Upon logging in, you will see a top summary section with your company name, logo, and data collected from activity on the marketplace:

  • All Transactions: A rollup count of trades for your company where the waiver process has started, as well as all historical closed trades.

  • Last 30D Transaction: Reflects the share price and details of the latest sell-side transaction for a successfully closed deal in the last 30 days.

  • Highest Qualified Bid: The highest investor bid price that has been explicitly screened for quality by the EquityZen team.

  • Total Bid Volume: The aggregated total dollar value of all active bids currently placed by platform investors for your company.

  • Total Ask Volume: The aggregated total dollar value of all active asks currently listed by shareholders on the platform for your company.

Q: How are the "Buyer" and "Seller" names populated and displayed?

  • Seller Name: Always displays the First Name and Last Name captured during user signup.

  • Buyer Name: Always displays the fund name for Regular SPV deals (e.g., "EquityZen Growth Technology Fund Series 2000"), as the fund itself acts as the purchaser of shares. For Facilitated deals, displays the investment entity name where applicable, otherwise the First Name and Last Name captured during user signup.

Q: Is our company transaction data visible to users on the main EquityZen platform?

No. The Issuer Portal lives on its own isolated subdomain, issuers.equityzen.com. It is a self-contained application requiring invite-only validation, meaning standard equityzen.com users cannot access or view your company's transaction logs even if they happen to discover the URL.

Q: What is the process for offboarding or if an authorized representative leaves our company?

Your company is responsible for notifying EquityZen at support@equityzen.com in advance of or immediately when an authorized user departs. Once notified, EquityZen will deactivate portal access to preserve data security.
